She is a master at using watercolors to paint landscapes. Somehow she evokes the essence of a scene in a striking way while still showing the details. Elizabeth began her study of art at age seven when she began taking painting lessons. She says, "The paintings that I create are intended to capture a moment spent in a place that I was reluctant to leave. We so often find ourselves lingering over a site that we are drawn to because of its beauty, drama, meaning, or mood. My paintings search for the essence of the attraction to the scene and capture it in an artistic manner that enables the viewer to visit that spot and linger as long as he or she desires." Nature surrounds and inspires Elizabeth's work environment. Her artwork is found in many collections across the U.S. and internationally.
